K&R In a Nutshell
The Know & Respond method is a simple way to study the Bible that focuses on two steps: first knowing, then responding. Instead of rushing to apply a passage right away, you start by slowly reading a small section of Scripture and asking questions like: What does this show me about God? What does this show me about man?
What is the main message for the people it was originally written to? This helps you understand who God is and what He is doing. After that, you respond by thinking about how the truth of that passage should change your life, and then you pray—praising God, confessing sin, thanking Him, and trusting Him with your needs. The theology behind it is that God reveals Himself to us through the Bible, and our response is worship. Christians believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work together in this process: God shows us who He is, Jesus makes it possible for us to know Him, and the Holy Spirit helps us understand and live out what we read. So Bible study isn’t just learning information—it’s a way to grow closer to God and let Him shape how we live every day.

El método Conoce y Responde es una forma sencilla de estudiar la Biblia que se centra en dos pasos: primero conocer, luego responder. En lugar de apresurarte a aplicar un pasaje de inmediato, comienzas leyendo lentamente una pequeña porción de las Escrituras y haciéndote preguntas como: ¿Qué me muestra este pasaje acerca de Dios?
¿Qué me muestra este pasaje acerca del ser humano? ¿Cuál es el mensaje principal para las personas a quienes fue escrito originalmente? Esto te ayuda a comprender quién es Dios y qué está haciendo. Después de eso, respondes reflexionando sobre cómo la verdad de ese pasaje debe transformar tu vida, y luego oras: alabando a Dios, confesando tus pecados, dándole gracias y confiándole tus necesidades.
La base teológica de este método es que Dios se revela a Sí mismo a través de la Biblia, y nuestra respuesta natural es la adoración. Los cristianos creemos que el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo obran juntos en este proceso: Dios nos muestra quién es, Jesús hace posible que lo conozcamos, y el Espíritu Santo nos ayuda a comprender y vivir lo que leemos.Por eso, estudiar la Biblia no consiste simplemente en adquirir información; es una manera de crecer en nuestra relación con Dios y permitir que Él transforme la manera en que vivimos cada día.
